Whole Wheat Waffles


1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
1 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp almond or low fat milk
2 tbsp warm water
1/3 cup coconut oil


In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon. In another bowl whisk together egg, milk, orange juice, and coconut oil. Add wet ingredients into dry and continue mixing until combined. Cook in an oiled waffle maker. Top with peanut butter, honey, or light syrup, and fresh fruit!
